We're delighted to have received Planning Approval for this lovely sun-room extension to a care home in Torbay. The new space focusses on a 'view-to-nature' concept, which is proven to help those suffering with dementia feel settled and comfortable in their surroundings.
The view to nature concept looks to ensure that residents are engaged with nature and can be in view of flowers, greenery and nature, so we ensured that through considered landscaping and positioning of glazing, that from all parts of the sunroom there is a view of areas of landscaped garden.
This benefits the area in two ways, firstly creating a comfortable space for residents, whilst secondly improving the biodiversity of the courtyard, encouraging bees, butterflies and other wildlife to the area, through the use of pollinator-friendly planting.
We are delighted to have received Planning Approval for this project, and we are looking forward to pressing forward with the project, which currently involves preparing an Interior Concept for the space, which we are of course very excited to share in the coming weeks.
