Core Hill House is a stunning home in Sidmouth. TFQ were appointed to produce a design proposal and relevant planning documents for a significant extension on the side of the property, to make the property more suitable for modern living. The extension involved significant reconfiguration of the existing property to accomodate the new design which was to include a new garden entrance, boot room, gym and cinema room, along with two further bedroom and bathrooms. 

The design was to closely consider the buildings immediate surroundings of peaceful woodlands, as well as the AONB the site was located in. Our proposals featured a design centred around a 'stable courtyard' concept in its form and arrangement, whilst being more modern and contemporary in materiality - with materials such as powder coated aluminium, natural slate, white painted timber, standing seam cladding and multi brick finishes. The overall design enhances the character of Core Hill and replaced existing and tired buildings with high quality spaces fit for a 21st century family.
